Justice for Vincent Simmons

Moments of a prison life

The way how  to get write-ups in prison and a bad record.

That it is not so difficult to get a write-up experienced Vincent not that long ago.  This is the reason why he is back in camp J.
Vincent had a hard cover law book, like there are many in prison. He had this book for a number of years in his possession. They are allowed in prison and there is no policy issued to the inmates on extended lock down that tells them they cannot have hard cover books in their cells.

A guard wanted the cover off of it. Vincent gave it to the guard but when he told him there was no policy giving them notice that they could not have hard cover books the guard said: “If you don’t shut up your mouth I’ll lock you ass up”. Vincent said that he was already locked up and then the guard said: “Pack your shit I am going to lock you up in adm. Segregation”.

When Vincent got the write up the guard said that Vincent said to him: “Fuck you” when he asked for the book cover. Can you explain me why Vincent should curse this guard out while he was giving the cover of the book anyway? It doesn’t make any sense.

Unfortunately this is the way it works in prison. See next information from a person who used to work there:
“I use to work at Angola. What lot of the inmates truly deserve to be there, some actually need psychological care (which they don't get). There are tragically however, lots of inmates there that have very strong evidence to prove their innocence and, because of the racism in the State, they'll never be free even though many of them committed no crime. The biggest regret of my life was ever having worn that uniform. Most of those Corrections employees are a disgrace to mankind”.

`We must not continue to
allow justice to wear a color.
We must not continue to
allow the truth to wear
a color!"

"I want to tell of all the things
I’ve been deprived of over the
past 32 years. A wonderful
time on the beach, walking
through parks, where lots of beautiful flowers and sceneries
are . I’ve missed a lot of the beauties of life, but I’ve  also
learned a lot of things
about life, in exchange. I am
not bitter, I am wise, strong, knowledgeable and have a good
understanding of everything."
