Imagine, you have been imprisoned
for more then 30 years and have been
attempting to prove your innocence. Also in spite of all the
evidence that points to your innocence, you cannot get a new trial. And knowing you are innocent you have to remain in prison for the rest of your life and die there.
We want to tell you about Vincent Simmons, a 55-year-old black man from Louisiana. He has been an inmate of the Angola prison for
30 years. He was convicted by an all white jury. His court appointed attorney never called any withnesses or cross examined any on his behalf. He received two consecutive 50 year prison sentences.
